Empowering Your Journey Toward Relief, Stability, and Growth
Life challenges all of us. At times, managing transitions, stress, or uncertainty can feel overwhelming and asking for help is often the hardest step.
You are not alone. A significant number of adults experience mental health challenges each year, and having the right support can make a meaningful difference. The goal is to help you move forward with clarity, confidence, and the tools needed to navigate life more effectively.
Trauma can take many forms. Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and other life events can shape how individuals process stress, build relationships, and engage with the world around them.
Special attention is given to those in high-impact roles, including military personnel, first responders, and healthcare professionals, who may face repeated exposure to traumatic situations. Support is designed to help process these experiences and restore a sense of stability and control.
A Career Built on Experience and Purpose
I am Rosemarie Stefaniw-Gottlieb, a dual-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). My career began in 1997 with Cook County Health Services at The CORE Center, and since then, I have worked with individuals across the full spectrum of mental health conditions—from work-related stress and burnout to complex psychiatric disorders.
With decades of clinical, research, and patient care experience, my focus remains consistent: reducing suffering and supporting each person in living the life they choose.
A Thoughtful, Collaborative Approach
Care is grounded in partnership. Each treatment plan is developed through open dialogue, careful evaluation, and a clear understanding of your individual goals.
When appropriate, medication options are discussed in detail, including risks, benefits, and alternatives—so you can make informed decisions about your care. Research supports improved outcomes when therapy and medication are combined, and this integrated approach is often incorporated into treatment.
Therapeutic methods emphasize:
Present-focused, practical strategies.
Building resilience through real-life application.
The role of hope in long-term progress.
Progress is continuously monitored using both conversation and standardized tools to ensure care remains effective and responsive.
Supporting a Wide Range of Needs
Care is provided for individuals facing diverse mental health challenges, including:
Stress, burnout, and life transitions.
Depression and anxiety-related conditions.
ADHD and attention-related concerns.
Trauma and post-traumatic stress.
Complex and chronic psychiatric conditions.
Every individual’s experience is different, and care is always adapted to reflect that.
I See Children, Adolescents, Adults, and Geriatric Individuals
Care tailored to every stage of life. From childhood through the later years, each individual receives thoughtful, personalized support designed to meet their unique needs, experiences, and goals—ensuring compassionate guidance and continuity of care across generations.
A Perspective Shaped by Real-Life Experience
Beyond clinical work, my perspective is informed by personal experience. As a military spouse, I understand the complexities of service life; relocation, transition, and the challenges that come with change and uncertainty.
Time spent as a full-time caregiver has also provided insight into the emotional and practical demands of supporting someone through difficult circumstances. These experiences bring an added level of empathy and understanding to the care provided.
